Ritimukta Sarangi
Sarangi is an expert in the application of x-ray and spectroscopic and theoretical methods to
elucidate the molecular structure, redox properties and reactivities of heterometallic clusters in
metalloenzymes involved in small molecule activation and CO2 fixation, biomimetic systems, and
organometallic and molecular systems involved in homogeneous catalysis and electrocatalysis.
Her group enables a direct correlation of structure to function and the understanding of the role
ligands play in tuning the frontier orbitals on transition metal centers that are involved in reactivity.
