Julia Cricco 21st International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry 2025

Julia Cricco

I am a Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Rosario, Argentina, and a Researcher at CONICET (Argentinean National Research Council). At the School of Biochemistry and Pharmacy, I teach biophysics, and I lead a research group at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Rosario (IBR). My work focuses on understanding how Trypanosoma cruzi—the parasite responsible for Chagas disease—acquires essential cofactors from its environment, such as heme and metal ions.
