Patrick E Sheridan
Patrick received his B.S. from Mississippi State University in 2021, where he worked under Dr. Joe Emerson. In the same year, he began his graduate studies at Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI) and joined Dr. Adam Fiedler's group, where he is now starting his 5th year of studies. His graduate work has focused on the development of novel bioinspired 3N and 4N ligand systems and their accompanying mononuclear first-row transition metal complexes which support secondary-sphere H-bonding interactions for the activation of biologically relevant small molecules (O2, NOx etc.). His current work is on the development of synthetic models of thiol-oxidizing non-heme iron(II) metalloenzymes.
