Anne K Duhme-Klair 21st International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry 2025

Anne K Duhme-Klair

Anne-Kathrin Duhme-Klair is a Professor of Biological Inorganic Chemistry at the University of York (UK). She obtained her PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Oldenburg (Germany). After postdoctoral positions at King's College London (UK), the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) at DESY in Hamburg (Germany), she completed her Habilitation at the University of Münster (Germany). In 1998, she was appointed to a lectureship in Biological Inorganic Chemistry at the University of York, where she is now a Professor. Her research interests include the coordination chemistry of biomimetic metal complexes, in particular iron-siderophore complexes and their applications, for example in the development of new antimicrobials, photocatalysts and artificial metalloenzymes.
