Yasunori Okamoto
Yasunori Okamoto received his Ph.D. from Osaka University (Japan) in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. T. Hayashi. He conducted postdoctoral research in Prof. T. R. Ward's group at the University of Basel (Switzerland) from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, he began his independent career as an assistant professor at Tohoku University (Japan). In 2024, he was promoted to associate professor at the National Institutes of Natural Sciences (Japan). His research focuses on the development of designer enzymes that combine synthetic catalysts with protein matrices for biochemical applications.
