Ana Maria da Costa Ferreira
Graduated in Chemistry by the University of São Paulo, Brazil in 1971; Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry in 1976, at the same University. Post-Doctor at Department of Biology, University Tor Vergata of Rome, Italy (1990 /1992) working on intracellular transport of copper. Visiting scientist at SUNY at Albany in 1996/1997, working on EPR spectroscopy. Author of >150 articles, 2 books in Inorganic Chemistry (2014), and Coordination Chemistry (2022). Supervised 15 Master Sci. Dissertations, 16 Ph.D. Theses, 15 Post-Doctors, and >50 undergraduate students. Teaching Chemistry disciplines to undergraduate students since 1978; and different Bioinorganic Chemistry disciplines to graduate students since 1983. Received in 2007 the Brazilian Order of Scientific Merit – title Comendador, from Presidency of Brazil, and Ministry of Science and Technology. Co-chair of the 18th International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry (ICBIC 18) held in 2017, in Florianopolis, Brazil.
